Supported Discounts & Exclusions

To help you get the most out of Discounts Display Pro, it’s important to know which types of discounts the app supports and why some are not displayed in your storefront.

✅ Supported Discounts

Our app works seamlessly with Amount Off Product discounts, which are the types of promotions that can be displayed directly next to product prices on product pages and in product grids. These include:

  • Percentage off – e.g., 20% off
  • Fixed amount off – e.g., $10 off (Basic plans and above)

You can apply these discounts to:

  • Products
  • Collections (Basic plans and above)
  • Individual variants (Advanced plans only)

Unsupported Discounts

Some discounts cannot be displayed because the required information is only available after a customer adds items to their cart or reaches checkout. In other cases, Shopify doesn't expose enough information for our app to calculate the discount.

Unsupported discount types include:

  • Buy X Get Y (BXGY) discounts
  • Shipping discounts
  • Order-level discounts (e.g. 10% off your entire order or $20 off orders over $100)
  • Product discounts that depend on cart conditions, such as:
    • Minimum purchase requirements
    • Maximum discount limits
    • Customer segments or other advanced eligibility rules
  • Discounts created by third-party apps instead of Shopify's native Discounts manager

Why aren't these discounts supported?

Discounts Display Pro displays savings directly on your product pages and product grids, before a customer adds anything to their cart.

To show an accurate price, the app must be able to determine exactly which discount applies to each product. Some discount types depend on information that isn't available until checkout, while third-party discount apps often don't expose all the data needed for our app to calculate the final price.

Rather than displaying incorrect or misleading prices, Discounts Display Pro only shows discounts that can be calculated with complete accuracy.

💡 Tips for Success

  • Only discounts that meet the supported criteria will appear in the app’s discounts list.
  • Discounts not visible in the app are likely dependent on cart context; you can still use them at checkout.
  • Remember, you control which discounts are Live in the app to appear on your storefront.
