Why Do Discounts Appear in the Wrong Locations on My Page?
If your discounts are showing up in unexpected places on your storefront — for example, displaying in the wrong product card, price area, or duplicated in multiple spots — it’s usually related to how your theme’s HTML is structured and how our app connects to it.
1) Double-Check Variant/Product Configurations
If discounts are attached to the wrong product or variant, they might appear in places you don’t expect.
Step-by-step
- In Shopify, open the discount in Shopify's Admin > Discounts.
- Review the targeting rules — confirm the discount applies to the correct products, collections, or variants (depending on your plan).
- If needed, adjust the targeting and save.
2) Check if You’re Using a Supported Theme
Discounts Display Pro works out of the box with most of Shopify’s popular themes. If you’re using one of these, discounts should appear in the correct spots automatically.

3) Use Custom Selectors to Fine-Tune Placement
When a discount shows in the wrong spot, it usually means the app is attaching to the wrong HTML element in your theme. You can fix this by pointing the app to the exact price element you want.
Step-by-step
- In Shopify, go to Apps > Discounts Display Pro > Settings .
- Open the Advanced Theme Selectors tab.
- Disable Auto-detection
- Enter the correct CSS selector for the product price element in your theme.
- Save your changes and refresh your storefront.
